Hello,We've updated the club rules (below). Please familiarize yourself with them as they will be enforced. Except for blatant disregard for existing rules, there will be a 1 week grace period before strict enforcement takes place. This shouldn't affect much of our membership as you've been pretty good at making this site what it is, a fun, friendly family oriented site. Terms and Conditions for participation
in the CO-AR15.com Website, Forum and Events1. Generali. Participation in this site, by any means, construes agreement with these terms and conditions.ii. This document is not all inclusive, additional updates can and will be posted in the forums and/or via email. It is the responsibility of each person to maintain their contact info to receive updates and to read updates posted in the forums.iii. Managers/mods may enforce these rules with discretion. This includes, but is not limited to: locking of threads, warning, suspension and outright bans.iv. Any lack of enforcement of any single provision or element of a provision does not constitute a lack of enforcement of the whole provision or the rule-set itself - basically, getting away with something "once" isn't an excuse to break any rule you want. v. Managers/mods can restrict access to the site, shoot, whatever for any reason at any timevi. Anyone convicted of a felony, and/or any act of domestic violence (felony or misdemeanor), or prohibited from firearms ownership and/or possession in any way, are forbidden to participate in this site and any of its functions.vii. Anyone banned from the site is also forbidden to participate in the site and functions.viii. Only one account per person unless authorized by site staffix. If you need assistance, have comments or suggestions, or need to bring something to our attention, please contact site staff.2. Trading posta. For Sale / Trade / Wantedi. All firearm sale rules and regulations apply.ii. No commercial ads allowed without staff approval.iii. Business shall be conducted in an honorable fashion.iv. Be honest and accurate.v. Don’t lie or be deceptive. This includes “Shill” or “plant” type activities.vi. Theft and fraud are prohibited. Site staff may cooperate in any legal action against such activities.vii. When offering something for sale, a price must be included.viii. When asking for a face to face transaction and/or local sale/trade, include your location.ix. Be respectful. Do not ‘spam’ others ad’s.1. Reading an ad is not an obligation to purchase any item.2. Don’t post in an ad with a complaint or negative comment about the deal or price.3. Discuss any transaction details or problems off-line (not in the thread (use IM, email or some other means))x. Making or accepting an offer should be honored. (If you can’t stand behind your word, don’t give it)xi. When your item(s) have sold or become otherwise unavailable, update the thread.xii. Threads that have had no activity for 60 days or more may be deleted.xiii. It is the responsibility of the seller to monitor their thread, IM and email. Reports of no response from a seller may result in the removal of the ad. Repeated offenses by the same seller may result in an outright ban from the site.b. Feedbacki. Be honestii. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. 2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. 3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use. 4. Know your target and what is beyond. 5. Know how to use the gun safely. 6. Be sure the gun is safe to operate. 7. Use only the correct ammunition for your gun. 8. Wear eye and ear protection as appropriate. 9. Store guns so they are not accessible to unauthorized persons.10.Be aware that certain types of guns and many shooting activities require additional safety precautions.ii. Club Specific Rules a. A designated Range Safety Officer should be on duty at all times. b. The RSO may not shoot while on duty. His or her attention must be on safety at all times. c. The RSO duties may be rotated, but it must be clear to everyone on the line who the RSO is. d. The RSO is to be obeyed at all times. No arguments. Safety is non-negotiable. e. The RSO has the authority to shut down the range, and remove anyone from the range as required.f. No alcoholic beverages at club shoots. g. Because of the high fire danger in Colorado, no tracer or incendiary ammunition allowed. h. Do not shoot trees or animals. i. No drugs of any kind. j. No felons allowed. k. No illegal firearms. l. Club shoots are family friendly. All conduct and language should be appropriate. m. You pack it in, you pack it out. n. NO Glass or Dangerous/Hazardous Materials will be used as targets.iii. General Range Rules1. Always obey all commands given by the Range Officer. 2. Eye and Ear protection is mandatory. 3. A specific and well defined firing line must be established prior to any shooting. 4. The RSO will vigorously enforce the firing line rules. 5. When range is hot, no one may precede downrange, forward of the firing line. 6. When range is cold, unload and open the action on your firearm making it safe. Firearms that fire from an open bolt should have the magazine removed, the safety on, and the bolt closed. 7. Upon the command to Cease Fire, safely unload your firearm, lock the action open and lay the firearm down. 8. No weapon handling is allowed while the range is cold. 9. Load your firearm only at the firing line. 10. Never turn around or face in an unsafe direction or up-range with a loaded firearm. 11. Keep you firearm pointed downrange at all times. 12. Do not put your finger on the trigger until your sights are on your target and you are ready to fire. 13. Adjust your target so that all the rounds fired through it strike the backstop downrange. 14. Every round you fire must strike the berm downrange. If your rounds leave the range, so do you! 15. Clean up. Pick up and dispose of all fired cases. Dispose of your used targets in the garbage can. 16. Do not throw or leave any garbage on the ground. This includes cigarette butts, cleaning patches, etc. 17. Keep children under control at all times. 18. Always treat every firearm as if it were loaded and could fire. Never point any firearm at another person. 19. Always check the condition of any firearm you handle to be sure of its loaded or unloaded condition. 20. Any disorderly conduct will result in the invitation to leave and a subsequent ban from the site. 21. Any blatant acts of violence will result in the offender being turned over to the authorities22. Anyone convicted of any felony will not be allowed at any club shoot or other club activity.23. Anyone convicted of any crime that prohibits them from owning or possessing a firearm will not be allowed at any club shoot or other club activity. This includes those misdemeanors as proscribed in the Colorado Revised Statutes.24. Anyone currently on probation, parole or under the supervision of any court or law enforcement agency will not be allowed at any club shoot or other activity. 25. Minors must be escorted by a parent or legal guardian.26. Anyone who has received a dishonorable discharge from the United States or any other military organization will not be allowed at any club shoot or other activity.27. Managers, moderators, and other staff members will do their best to enforce the rules, and may at their discretion, ask any one to leave a club activity at any time for any reason. Failure to abide by any such ruling or to comply with any directive given by a safety officer will not be tolerated. b. COLORADO LAWi. C.R.S. 18-12-108. POSSESSION OF WEAPONS BY PREVIOUS OFFENDERS.1. A PERSON COMMITS THE CRIME OF POSSESSION OF A WEAPON BY A PREVIOUS OFFENDER IF THE PERSON KNOWINGLY POSSESSES, USES, OR CARRIES UPON HIS OR HER PERSON A FIREARMS AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 18-1-109 (3)(h) OR ANY OTHER WEAPON THAT IS SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE SUBSEQUENT TO THE PERSON’S CONVICTION FOR A FELONY, OR SUBSEQUENT TO THE PERSON’S CONVICTION FOR ATTEMPT OR CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT A FELONY, UNDER COLORADO LAW OR ANY OTHER STATE’S LAW OR UNDER FEDERAL LAW.c. FEDERAL FIREARMS CONTROL ACTi. TITLE 18 UNITED STATES CODE OF THE GUN CONTROL ACT OF 1968, AS AMENDED, PROVIDES: “ANY PERSON WHO...HAS BEEN CONVICTED BY A COURT OF THE UNITED STATES OR OF A STATE OR ANY SUB-DIVISION THEREOF, OF A FELONY...WHO RECEIVES, POSSESSES, OR TRANSPORTS IN COMMERCE, OR AFFECTING COMMERCE...ANY FIREARMS, SHALL BE FINED NOT MORE THAN $250,000.00 OR IMPRISONED FOR NOT MORE THAN FIVE YEARS, OR BOTH, WITHOUT PAROLE.” CERTAIN OFFENDERS CAN SUFFER ADDITIONAL PENALTIES.ii. THE ABOVE LAWS REMAIN IN EFFECT AFTER DISCHARGE OF YOUR SENTENCE OR PERIOD OF PAROLE.
